I don’t see a reason to refrain from the service or feel any ridiculous about it.
- Twitter has never been a social network. Their recent redesign clearly reflects so
- The best way so far to exploit it is to use it as a information gathering and news distribution tool, so
- There shouldn’t be too many gurus
- The “lazier” consume what the “loud mouths” have to offer, thus complete the value creation chain on the service
- Authority is never automatic. People work hard to achieve it
- 1/9 powered by Social Media is still better than 1/1M as in Mass Media, if you value people’s right to be talkative
- For a social network which you can enjoy the warmth of one-on-one communication, Facebook et al give you much better utilities
So then, enjoy Twitter, there’s nothing emotional about it…
