Visky: what to do with one million dollars?

Launch another product. Launch yet another product. Keep launching untill the money is done for.

In late November 2008, Visky launched its first e-commerce project -Vimua.com, which stirred the air for a while as the site went down for several days due to a tremendous number of hits from excited buyers. Nobody has heard anything from them since then on except they’ve hired some hot chick to work on Sales. Consider that a failure.

A few months later, ViPhoto – now changed to Vivo.vn (?) – was born. It used face detection mechanisms to let users share photos. Sound familiar? Then it’s fallen into oblivion.

And not before long, ViHD emerged. The name says it all. ViHD is a HD streaming service that you can use to watch HD movies on a Desktop client. Thing is: it’s not HD and it’s not working. No need to tell you what it’s ended up being.

These are three of their most “popular” projects that have been churned out in such a short period of time. Prolific developers who can waste the time of the world.

No worries. Our men now’s just got $1mil in their account to do whatever they want with it. And Visky has now officially become a portfolio company of FPT, Vietnam’s largest IT firm. Congratulations!

Hopefully something good will come out of that amount of money. $1mil is surely a lot of money. But if you spend it on 10 different projects, weird things happen.

Let the money be well wasted.

Addendum
: $1mil is the amount of chartered capital. Actual investment can be more. Prior to this invesntment, Visky has swallowed a relatively big sum of money.
